This traditional kaya fabric dishcloth is made using fabric woven in Nara, Japan, the country's last remaining production area for mosquito net fabric. The cloth is carefully woven and later printed and finished in Wakayama, creating a high-quality and beautifully designed kitchen cloth. Made from seven layered sheets of Kaya fabric, it becomes incredibly soft and fluffy after the starch is washed out with water or lukewarm water before first use. The cloth shrinks slightly during this process, resulting in a supple texture that is both durable and highly absorbent. With excellent absorbency―about 1.3 times that of cotton―it dries quickly and remains strong even with daily use. Perfect for wiping kitchen counters, cleaning microwaves, or everyday household tasks.
